What You Need to Know
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a deeply calming touch therapy based on the principle that specific points on the feet, hands and face correspond to the organs, glands and systems of the body. Similar concepts are found in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, where working precise points is believed to support balance throughout the whole body.
Through gentle, focused stimulation of these reflex points, reflexology helps soothe the nervous system, ease stress and encourage the body back towards its natural state of balance. The treatment is deeply restorative and may help reduce tension, improve sleep, lift mood and support overall wellbeing.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle system of energy healing that works by channelling spiritually guided life force, usually through the hands.
The word Reiki comes from the Japanese words Rei, meaning Universal Consciousness or Spirit, and Ki, meaning Life Energy or Life Force. Together, Reiki means Universal Life Energy.
Developed in Japan in the early 1900s by Mikao Usui, the Usui System of Natural Reiki Healing is one of the most gentle yet powerful forms of energy healing. Today, Reiki is widely used to support inner peace, balance and natural wellbeing, helping you reconnect with the body’s own innate healing wisdom.

Cautions
Important information before booking
The maximum safe user weight for my treatment couch is 150kg. If you weigh more than this, please contact me before booking so we can discuss whether adapted treatment options may be suitable.
If you have had Botox, filler or any non-surgical facial treatment, please allow one month before booking any facial treatment.
If you have had any medical treatment, surgery or procedure, please seek advice from your GP, consultant or relevant healthcare professional before booking, to confirm that reflexology or facial massage is appropriate for you.
If you have allergies, please ensure that you complete your new client consultation form carefully. This is sent after booking and helps me make sure the treatment room is free from potential triggers and that any products used are suitable for you.
Reflexology, Fertility and Pregnancy
Reflexology can be a safe and supportive treatment during pregnancy. However, I only see existing regular clients during the first trimester.
If you are newly pregnant and new to reflexology with me, I would be delighted to welcome you from your second trimester onwards.
If you have a history of miscarriage, a high-risk pregnancy, or are unsure whether treatment would be suitable for you, please get in touch before booking so we can talk things through.
Consultation and Health Information
Before your first appointment, you will be asked to complete a consultation form. This allows me to understand your health history, any current concerns, and whether treatment is suitable for you.
It is your responsibility to provide accurate and up-to-date information at the time of booking and before each treatment. If anything changes in relation to your health, medication, pregnancy status or recent medical treatment, please let me know before your appointment.
If I believe a treatment is not appropriate or safe, I reserve the right to decline or adapt treatment.

Your Appointment
Arrival Times
Please aim to arrive on time, or up to five minutes early for your appointment.
If you arrive very early, I may still be with another client, so I may ask you to wait outside or in your car until your appointment time.
If you arrive late, your treatment time may need to be shortened so that the following appointment is not affected. In these circumstances, the full treatment fee will still apply.
Cancellation Policy
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
This gives me the best chance of offering the appointment to someone else. As a small business, late cancellations have a significant impact, so appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
Right to Refuse Treatment
I reserve the right to refuse treatment where I believe it would be unsafe, inappropriate, or not in your best interests.
This includes situations where contraindications are present, where relevant medical consent has not been obtained, or where a client attends under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
